TIE Chapter 5 – The Four Core Areas Of Focus – 4) Sales System (Review)


Part 3 of this divided chapter summary concentrated on the third of Dean’s Four Core Areas Of Focus which is “Follow Up”. That part of the Chapter concentrates on the importance of your emails to your new subscribers. Although that part of the chapter concentrates on the first 7 emails to be sent, it also emphasizes the importance of maintaining long-term regular communication with your subscribers.

Now here’s a summary of the fourth part of Chapter 5 – “The Four Core Areas Of Focus” – Sales System.

Obviously, the first three parts of Chapter 5 are laying the foundations leading up to part 4. You are in this game to make money, and the only way to do that is to make sales. However, it is very important that all of the products and services you promote must be helpful and cost-effective to the subscribers on the list you are so carefully cultivating.

If you promote “shiny objects” to your list, that will not be beneficial to their progress in the long term, you may see an influx of money in the short term, but when your subscribers realize that they’ve been “had” you will soon experience a huge uptake in your unsubscribe rate and all that work you went through to get your subscribers to know, like, and trust you will be wasted. Treat people correctly and they will follow you for many years.

In the last paragraph of the Chapter, Dean informs us of a premonition he had after several years of being in the industry. He predicted that a change was on the horizon. Luckily, Dean was prepared and he promises to inform you of the problem, and, more importantly, the solution to it later in the book.
